Recently my husband and I were able to spend a few days in the beautiful Scottsdale, Arizona. We enjoyed the gorgeous weather and being in the dessert, we both could see why this was such a popular travel destination. There are a variety of fun things to whether you are wanting to be adventurous or just relax, I wanted to round up our top 5 favorite things to do while on our trip.
We always try to get in tours or art museum visits when we travel. We enjoy hearing about this history, this tour was 90 minutes long and was so good. If you are into learning about the history I would definitely recommend visiting Frank Lloyd write center.
I was nervous for the bike tour because I hadn’t ridden a bike in a very long time but this tour was really good. The weather turned out to be perfect for it, that morning it was really hot outside so I was nervous that it’d be even hotter at 2 in the afternoon. Luckily we had some cloud coverage which made it cooler outside. This tour was about 90 minutes long and took us through out the city of Scottsdale. They showed us different restaurants and shops that were really good and also discussed a lot of the history of the town.
We had a date night at the Botanical Gardens, they had a light show going that evening that was beautiful. of course, going to see the garden during the day would be beautiful as well but just seeing the light show with the music was so peaceful. It was definitely a great date night choice.
We decided to check a hot air balloon ride off of our bucket list. Y’all.. this was never really on my bucket list. Never in a million years did I think I would do this, I am terrified of heights. We went almost 6,000 feet in the air, I was super nervous at first, before I even got in the basket. Once we were in the basket and started to rise you really couldn’t tell. We did the sunrise ride and it was breath taking and so peaceful, it was just what I needed.
Old Town Scottsdale has the cutest shops and restaurants with sweet treats. you should definitely check out the Sugar Bowl.
