I’ve gotten so many requests for tips on how to create a gallery wall. Well today is the day that I am sharing it all with you. There is still so much I would like to do when it comes to decorating our home but I am taking my time. I wish I could knock out a few walls as well, my husband thinks I am crazy. I started with our dining room when we first moved into our home. I am huge fan of hosting dinners with family or friends, so I wanted to make sure that this room was perfect.
It took me a little over 3 months to find the right frames for my gallery wall. I knew exactly what color I wanted to do, it was finding the right size that took me so long to finally pull the trigger and buy them. I order all of my pictures from Shutterfly; we decided to do a black and white photo gallery. Guys, the black and white photos with the gold frames look stunning.
My husband helped me with the installation of the frames and they turned out so good. Below I am sharing with you all my two main tips on how we set up our photo gallery. I know, two tips doesn’t seem like a lot of information but once you utilize them you’ll see how much they will help you.
My 2 main Gallery Wall Tips:
1. Map It Out
We used paper to map out the exact way we wanted to set up our frames. We did this so we would not have so many holes in our wall. We measured the spacing out in between each frame to match.
Before you start nailing and hanging your frames, lay your frames out on the floor the way you would like to display them. This will help you get the visual of what they will look like on the wall. That way you can rearrange them without damaging your wall if you do not like the first lay out.
If you have any other questions or tips you’d like to share with me, leave them in the comments below. Also, once you build your gallery wall tag me in the pictures. I’d love to see them!
