Now that the holidays are over and I ate way more food than I should have, I am working my way to getting in shape. I want to let you guys in on a little secret of mine and share with you how I keep my arms and legs toned without the gym. We all want that nice summer body and I absolutely hate going to the gym, I work full time plus I have a 1 year old so I really enjoy spending my free time with her and my husband. I know most of you are in the same boat as I am when it comes to time, so I thought I would share the leg and arm workouts I do without having to go to the gym. I mainly do squats and lunges throughout the day which have helped me tone up my legs and I carry my daughter around basically 24/7 so that helps me keep my arms toned well that, and my medicine ball. Keep scrolling below to see how I’ve been working to tone my legs in time for the warmer weather!
Morning: I typically will do squats and lunges while getting ready for work. I like to turn the music up and see how many squats I can do for an entire song. I like to challenge myself, it helps keep me motivated to push through. Next, I do lunges I probably look ridiculous doing my hair while doing them but no one is around that early to see.
Night time: I try to get in a 30 minute workout before I shower and get ready for bed. I do my ab workout, squats, and lunges. Doing this each night consistently has really helped me with toning my body.
Days Off: On my days off from work I try to get out of the house to get some exercise in. We will walk to park, or just go outside in the front yard and do a few workouts with the medicine ball. This helps me not only stay consistent but also it switches it up a bit to not make it so repetitive.
