December is one of my favorite months! The weather is finally cooling off in Houston around this time and there are so many reasons to have holiday parties! This season brings many reasons and feelings for thankfulness. I have always been a person with a huge heart and love to be surrounded with the people I love. Lately, I have been reflecting on my life and the people who I let in. One thing I am going to work on this month is GROWTH. I have many things I can and need to improve on for myself, so with that I decided to put together a list of things that I am going to be working on for the entire month of December. I decided to write them all out because doing so I am holding myself accountable, I am a firm believer in writing down your goals and keeping them somewhere you can see them. So let’s make it happen! Write down your goals and come along this journey with me this month!
Lately I have been eating junk and stuff that just isn’t good for my body. For this month I am going to stay away from fast foods. I’ll be focusing more on my proteins and veggies. Along with that I am going to stay away from the sodas, I am challenging myself to drink more water each and everyday. When you feel good, you do well. Also I like to say when you look good you feel good; lol and eating healthy will help you look good.
Highlighting my accomplishments
This is HUGE for me and probably many of you! Too many times we beat ourselves up terribly for the failures and mistakes we’ve made. I am challenging myself and you all to celebrate the wins you have! They can be smallest of small or the biggest of big!! But we need to celebrate when we achieve a goal or hit a milestone. Don’t get me wrong we will still have days where we feel like we just aren’t winning at all. I have to many of those days to count. When you celebrate the big wins it helps when you have those off days.. it helps you remember the feeling of your wins.
Spending more time outside
Lately I have had zero energy or motivation to just go outside. I am challenging myself that I need to get outside more often to really enjoy life and God’s creation. Whether it’s going walking with Mia and Marlee or just taking Mia to the park. This will be one of the hardest growth points for me because when I get off of work I definitely do not want o go outside.. I just want to unwind and relax.
Being More Thankful
I typically am a very appreciative person and I always am grateful and thankful. This month I am going to list each day what I am most thankful for. Sometimes we get so caught up in our lives and in this world that we aren’t truly thankful for the small things such as being able to walk, talk, or even see. The things we take for granted are some of the things people wish they could each and everyday. So I am going to utilize this on my Instagram stories each day and share with you all what I am thankful for.
Let’s do this! December is OUR month!! I believe in you! Let me know some of your growth challenges for the month in the comments below and what some of your goals for 2019 are!
