How To Fake It Til You Make It

Hi Lovelies,

I’m still here I promise! I feel like now that the holidays are here my life has gotten just a little hectic. But I have a great read below so check it out!! 🙂

Fake it til you make it, lifestyle, beauty, professionally, fashion
How many of you have days where your just there, you’ve rushed through your day so quickly you have no idea what’s going on? I’ve had those days, days where my mom is walking in the door to watch Mia and I’m running out the door still putting my shoes on. Then finishing my makeup while sitting in traffic. When this happens most of time I think to myself “what is your issue, get it together.”

We all have an idea of what it’s like to have your life and career together, we see some people and think man how do they do it? They seem to have it all out together from being put together to knowing all they need to know about their career. I’m here to tell you that, that’s not true. It’s called “fake it till you make it.” I’ve had a boss for years that has always taught me to fake it till you make it when some things are just happening out of your control. She always said smile don’t let them see you worry. I’m a firm believer in fake it til you make it, this is going to help you take small steps to getting everything in order. I mean because let’s be honest, this isn’t going to happen over night or anything. We have to be consistent in working on getting things in order. Here are three quick tips on how to fake it till you make it, till you get things right.

Always have a smile on your face no matter the situation. You do not want people to see you stressing out or unsure when handling certain situations. Don’t sweat the small stuff, plans always come together in the end. Trust me I️ know, I look back and think how did I get through so many obstacles, when at that exact moment in time I didn’t think I would make it through.

You always want to have that one work best friend, you know the friend you can have drinks with and just vent about all of your frustrations because they understand you since they’re living that same career life practically. You want that one person to rely on so that when you really have no idea what to do or having issues making a decision they can help you with out giving you a hard time. I mean let’s be real here… it’s always the worst when your in an awkward or uncomfortable situation at work or wherever you may be and you don’t have someone to bail you out or have your back. Those work best friends are the real MVP’s. They remind you to fake it til you make it when times get hard.

Remember girl, we’re here to move up to the top. We want to succeed and achieve our goals, But in order to do so we must be organized. With being organized you must wake up early, get to work on time, and be ready to tackle the day head on. Fake it til you make it, let the other girls think that you’re the one that has it all figured out.

This is the most important tip, to have faith. You must believe in yourself and have faith that all of it will come together. If you don’t believe in yourself then certainly no one else will. Don’t lose hope, you got this just “faith it til you make it”. See what I did there? If you’re having a rough day and fake it til you make just isn’t working just switch it out to “faith it til you make it”. You can accomplish anything if you just have faith.

Let’s be completely real here.. we don’t all have our lives put perfectly together. We all have different stories and different lives, that’s why we always say not to compare your life to someone else’s. What we can and should do is feel great about ourselves, embrace the good and the bad days and let them happen. It’s ok to be that frizzy haired girl that slept in late and is rushing to work sometimes, but we owe it to ourselves to get it right, I mean we’re bound to get it right soon enough don’t you think? Come on ladies, we got this. Let’s show them.

I think it is important to realize that noone has it all figured out and that we can do the best we can with with what we have. A good support system is great for that.

Faith is the most important aspect of this, I think. You just gotta trust that you will figure it out. Then, over time, your confidence will grow and you won’t have to fake it anymore 🙂

Great post. I am a big advocate of fake it till you make it. It really works in most things. Just taking the time to be in the moment and making yourself more aware of what’s going on around you.
