Happy Tuesday, loves! I hope everyone had a great weekend/Monday, I know my little family did. My husband and I celebrated our 1-year wedding anniversary and we took a trip to Las Vegas to just get away and have some fun. I feel like we really needed that quality time together considering we work so much. Sometimes you just need to get away whether it’s a trip or just some quiet time to yourself to maintain that happiness/positivity in your life. To that I always get asked how do you stay so positive?
I will tell you guys that it’s a mindset, you decide how you feel, its your decision. When you wake up each morning you can choose to be happy or you can choose to still be upset about whatever happened wrong yesterday. I know we all have different outlooks on positivity and happiness and its easier said than done but I have listed 5 things that I do daily to help me stay positive and not let the stress of life get me down. I deal with anxiety (most people don’t know this) and some days it seems extreme and other days its manageable, these 5 things I do helps control it. Check them out below.
I like to either start my days or end my nights with my quiet time. I have a women’s devotional I use that really helps me maintain my positivity and just my mind set in general. This helps center me and keeps my mind from racing. I promise you, it seems like my mind never shuts off.
Some days you just need to ditch the phone to maintain your sanity and just disconnect. It seems like in todays world we are just glued to our phones. I enjoy my time/days without my phone, I use my phone for work and personal life which means its typically in my hand 24/7 besides when I am asleep. I take in every moment and just enjoy the now, this is refreshing and helps me keep my positive attitude.
We get caught up in what others have and what we do not. This is because we live in a world of social media and we are guilty of showing off what we have. Focus on what you have, not what you don’t.
Whether you’re a mom or not I am a firm believer that you should always make time for yourself. Take the time to get ready, I believe that if you look good, you feel good. We all need that pick me up sometimes and it can simply be getting out the sweats, fixing your hair, and doing your make up to make yourself feel better. I know if I feel good that helps my positive attitude.
I call this detoxing. Whether you are letting go of people, reality drama tv, or unfollowing negative people on social media, it’s a form of letting go. Sometimes we need to do just that, you don’t realize the type of impact someone could be having on you until you look from the outside in.
What are some ways you stay positive daily?
